LOL! I too am far more valuable as a pitcher-Inner, than lead architect. But I too, had fun making my own 8 x 8 x 8 shed, though I did buy the trusses pre-built, as well as a floor kit. But the rest was a stack of two by fours and sheets of fiber board. Getting it square had me re-evaluate my future as a "builder," though I did successfully get the shingles on it with little trouble. I recall the lady at the county when I picked up the 8 dollar permit and she said, "Make sure you secure it with hurricane ties." Me: "even if its just tied to 9 concrete blocks underneath it?" Her (without ever looking up from her computer): "Yup." Didn't get to take it with us durning the last move though, so I bought a plastic one from the box store. Depsite my effort to down size the piles of junk we moved with us, my wife said, "you're going to wish you had bought the bigger one." As usual, she was right. Thanks for all of your wonderful words!
Mike, What great memories! Reminders me of the “one holer” that I built-was not square. What type of stove heated the shack?
I don't recall the make of the stove. It was a tiny little woodburner but it was a tiny insulated space so required nothing more.
