I have worked 2 weeks of early voting and all day election day - I admire the effort that many people make to actually show up to vote. Young disabled, elderly, friends that have endured health crisis since the last election that has noticeably changed their physical capabilities. Friends and neighbors that I know faced serious financial or family difficulties. I applaud each and every one of them for realizing the privilege, nay, duty, to show up and vote. I see the seriousness in their eyes, I see children translating for immigrants that are voting for the first time. Our country is so blessed and working together will benefit us all in the long term. Just remember, the state and local elections affect you most directly so don't bypass those elections. Too many only vote in presidential elections unfortunately. Thank you to everyone that VOTED, VOLUNTEERED, or worked at making our democracy work for EVERYONE.
Thank you for your calming words. It always put me at peace to hear your voice. Your children are a reflection of you and your wife, and will grow up to be decent human beings filled with love!
Thanks for the reminder to be grateful for the small things in life, which really are the big things! Let’s all just be kind to each other out there. Together we can achieve great things!
Thank you for sharing. This is a tough time for everyone. I hear it in your voice. And in our country, it can be especially tough. I work in the live event industry. I've production managed major events at the last 3 inaugurations and this year I am conflicted. As much as I want the work, nay need the work. I hope the right candidate wins and is too smart to let large crowds congregate and I sit at home during that time instead.
Tonight it was the moon, perfectly full, bright, no clouds here in the Pacific Northwest. So grateful for the clear skies so I could see it. I'm a mental health therapist. I spent the day in video chats, calming my clients that are full of anxiety, depression and pending doom. I needed that moon tonight. So grateful.......
When we all were a lot younger we only had those small things to worry about. (Though they seemed huge at the time.) They never left us, but we for some reason believed that as adults we had to become political and watch news media 24/7 so we could be "right" at the next family gathering. In reality, it is the little things that relate more to our dally lives anyway.
I am going offline at noon today and leaving the global economy till tomorrow when I walk out front to get the paper. God bless...
It’s Tuesday morning and I’m just finishing my first cup of coffee & listening to your latest voice mail. I too saw that spectacular sunset! I think it’s was God’s way of telling us everything is going to be okay - just have faith in our country. 🇺🇸
Thank you, Michael! I’ve been crying for an hour - because I’ve heard from so many of my former hs students who’ve assured me that they’ve voted for change. I’m so proud of them!
Thanks for taking the time to share a bright spot. We all need those. My mom and dad taught me to enjoy the "simple things" in life and see the good in others and to realize we don't always know what the person we see out and about is going through. Your daughter must have had a good day and with that, yours was good. Thanks again and thanks also for your spectacular writing. I have enjoyed and enjoyed again! Have a great day!!
We are a blessed lot, plenty to be grateful for if we look beyond the noise. Thanks for the reminder!

These words were very needed today. Thanks so much for keeping your fingers typing and your voice audible!
Thanks for your kindness. We all pray a lot for future happenings! Stay safe 🌈

Thanks for the image of your daughter singing on the way to her chores. I pray for this country and am putting it in God's hands.

I was one who also took and posted one of those sunset pics. Lots of folks around Manawa noticed that sunset beauty too. Tom
Thank you, Michael. I just turned 80 last week and will continue to have hope and continue to find comfort in your voice and yours words.
Thanks for sharing that. Gotta keep moving forward.
