I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my parents some years ago. At the same time, from your description of your mom and dad, I can't help but think you are blessed beyond measure. No one gets out of this world alive, and to live an honorable, true, and loving life is a blessing and an accomplishment that is not trivial. Bless you, and I'm confident you will help your dad.

When you first introduced us to your Mom in Population 485 I knew she was pretty special. We obviously don't get any choice in picking our parents, but in your case you hit the jackpot. May all of your memories be good.

You’ve captured who she is in every story you’ve written about her. A remarkable human, by any measure. May she rest now, after giving so much love to the world. Thank you for sharing this deeply personal journey with the rest of us, and reminding all of us of the love within us, that we can still share with the world.

Mike,

You, Ingrid, your children, Jack and extended family have my deepest condolences.

So many evenings spent in the Chetek HS library learning how to serve her community better as an EMT will be an enduring memory.

Lonnie lived a life of love and service. No better example today of contributing humbly and graciously to others.

A more than nice tribute to your mother's memory. May we say the 'descriptive picture' of your mother crossing in front of you on an EMT call in the night (with only her bun showing) is one we will always remember and reference. Jerry and Marian
