Oh gosh, Mike, I love this. (Of course.)

“The rampart of books“ – – so perfect!!

And then you read that part from Coop – I have to tell you, that has stayed with me for so long, that part about reading anything to hand, needing to find something, rummaging for something anytime you were sitting still, “a cereal box, the bottom of the Kleenex box” — and I have kept you with me, like a friendly shoulder to clasp, in my mind every time I find myself doing the same. And oh gosh, I just laughed out loud over the toothpaste recitation – so thanks for that! Not too many laughs these days…

Oh, and yes, that’s a Wonderful line about time on a sunny afternoon like dandelion fuzz…. Rather reminiscent of a certain opening paragraph about summer and dandelions, isn’t it? 😊

Another fine moment of sanity in a world that seems bent on tossing us all off with every rotation. "A thoughtful solitude," is now preferable to darn near anything else, as of late. Thanks again for sharing your gifts with us.

And why is it in a world where we have unlimited information literally at our finger tips that we still accept information given as truth without corroboration? When I was in school we accepted and trusted information from encyclopedia's, old people, and teachers. Heck, we didn't know if it was accurate we just accepted it. Will that ever change?

Mike, I am glad to know that I am not the only one who is obsessed with reading anything that is within my grasp.
