God, I truly don’t remember shit. I’m constantly aware of it because my wife is constantly stunned at how far gone I am. Loved the Montaigne take. Thank you for that.

Take my ears anytime you like. Similar episodes of doofus-ness in my life remind me that I have a less stressed life these days, and this a less fearful one, hence trying a locked door means you/we probably feel safer than you/we used to. ? Maybe. Or maybe the words “you locked the door, dummy” are down that same hallway with Lloyd Bridges. “Picked the wrong week to stop sniffing glue” I always think…when I am facing a mysteriously locked door. In my case, the key is usually in the other side…
